Nobody queues for a table here — you buy a bocadillo or a coffee-and-pastry from the places on the promenade and eat it sitting on the low wall facing the water, legs over the sand. Mid-morning almuerzo and again at dusk.

Skaters and longboarders come up here specifically because the Malva-rosa paseo is a slalom of tourists and stalls. Patacona's surface is newer, straighter and mostly empty — you get a clean run north.
