This is the barrio's own way down into the riverbed — you go in by the monastery corner, not up at Serrans where the ramp is clogged with visitors photographing the towers. First light and again after dinner it's all dog leads and people who clearly do this every single day.

The barrio walks into Viveros through this gate and mostly doesn't go any further than the first lawns and the gravel avenue inside it — that's the bit that functions as the neighbourhood's garden. Everyone who came up the ramp from the riverbed carries on to the pond and the palm avenue, so the two crowds barely overlap.
