The wooden walkway side of the lake is where everyone actually settles — pushchairs park along it in the shade while someone takes the kids out on a boat. The open bank on the far side bakes all afternoon and stays empty until the sun drops.

Watching the sunsetParc de Capçalera — top of the artificial hill (the mirador mound)
Walk the spiral path up the mound and you get the only real view in the whole west riverbed — the lake below, treetops, and the city stacked up to the east. Couples and small groups drift up as the light goes orange and come down when the mosquitoes start.
